The
new 750-foot tall AOL Time Warner Center building at One Central
Park consists of 2.5 Million Square Feet of space and comprises
a twin-towered multi-use complex. The building will house the AOL
Time Warner World Headquarters, a 250-room/suite luxury hotel, spaces
for retail, entertainment, restaurants and offices, 225 luxury apartments,
the CNN Live broadcast production studios and a concert hall for
the use of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
McClave
Engineering P.C ., working through Utility Programs and
Metering, provided electric metering and sub-meter consulting to
the building. Due to the diverse and large number of tenants within
the building complex, accuracy and reliability of the electric,
water, gas, steam and chilled water metering systems is essential.
Through
our consulting we reviewed the designed sub metering system and
all of the building’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing plans.
We identified and made suggestions as to areas where the designed
metering system could be enhanced to avoid missing critical data
and for systems to be reconciled. |
