McClave
Engineering P.C. completed the HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing
design for a twenty-nine million dollar bond issue in Sag Harbor
, New York . The bond issue added an additional 80,000 square feet,
more than doubling the size of the pre-existing High School.
The
project added a new, cafeteria/kitchen, gymnasium, elevator, and
25 additional classrooms, spanning three stories. All existing systems
had to be removed or upgraded to be able to handle the additional
loads. McClave Engineering worked with the architect, school administration
and consultants to meet the school district’s desire for a mechanical
design using the latest energy efficient boilers, electrical systems,
and lighting at Pierson High School .
The
school district decision to place a premium on energy efficiency
and McClave Engineering expertise in making their idea a reality
will have long lasting positive effects on the school district’s
energy costs.
The
design schedule of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and construction
specifications was completed in 12 months so that major construction
could start over the summer.
The
project was finished ahead of schedule and on budget. The Architect
and School Board Members have noted the professionalism and dedication
of our staff and our proactive involvement in identifying potential
problems early and reaching quick resolutions
.
